Montauk | Travel Journal

Corey was born and raising on Long Island, and I'm from the beaches of Florida. We spent a weekend, combining both our pasts. We ventured out to the beaches of Montauk, specifically towards the renowned lighthouse. I was exciting to see a familiar sight, sand and waves. But this was so wonderfully unexpected... I had failed to imagine the beach covered in snow. This was an all new experience for me, and one Corey was all too familiar with. Though his family would visit this area together during the summer time, just seeing the familiar sights practically brought him to tears.

It's amazing how powerful our senses are. The smell of the Atlantic and the decorated lighthouse brought it all back.
